CIMulator is a 3D tool grinding simulation system designed to enable operators of ANCA’s CNC tool and cutter grinders to design and trial the manufacture of spiral fluted cutting tools off-line in a highly visual way.

Very difficult problem to solve, algorithmically as well as computationally. Several man years to reach concept prototype. First ever, 3D graphical simulation of the tool grinding process. Has become an “industry standard”, copied by all of ANCA’s global competition.
